DEVELON DX225LL-7 Log Loader

Developed specifically for forestry applications, the DX225LL-7 pairs the recognizable power of DEVELON excavators with specialized forestry features. 

With improved lift capacity and increased swing torque, the DX225LL-7 can swing heavy logs more efficiently, even when moving the load uphill. The fine swing function reduces the amount of swinging when working with heavy loads, resulting in better control and safer operation. And the one-touch power boost, conveniently located on the right-hand joystick, provides a momentary hydraulic boost when you need more lifting power.

It features a fully guarded, high-walker undercarriage and upper structure designed to hold up to all-day forestry jobs. Each track includes heavy-duty links with double grouser shoes and full-length track guards.

Forestry protection extends to the upper structure. Machine guarding includes mainframe reinforcement with full under-house plate guarding, updated boom cylinder guard, integral catwalks, heavy-duty side doors with guarding over the hydraulic pump and cooling system doors, and undercarriage guarding. 

The cab features a 4-foot riser with reinforced front and top guarding, which provides protection without sacrificing visibility. The cab also features 90-degree hydraulic tilting for transport.

The optional side-entry forestry cab is certified for Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB standards. It features an optional upgraded 32-mm guarded polycarbonate front window, polycarbonate side and rear windows.

An intelligently designed cab makes it easy to focus on your work. You're surrounded by more foot space, better visibility and automotive-style heating and air conditioning with adjustable airflow. Work comfortably with the standard heated air-suspension seat and simple controls.

Sightlines are critical for operator performance and job site safety, and DEVELON log loaders provide the best possible view from inside the cab. A clear line of sight gives you a better view of the forward and surrounding areas. Narrow cab pillars provide less obstructed views, standard LED front and rear working lights help identify obstacles, while standard rearview and side view cameras provide a full view of surroundings.

The Mechatronics Design provides four work modes, auto-idle and machine diagnostics. It includes multiple operating modes accessible from an easy-to-read display monitor. To help save valuable diesel fuel, auto shutdown comes standard. When enabled, it will shut down the machine’s engine when the preset idle time is met. Operators can configure the idle time from 3 to 60 minutes.

A standard multi-function color LCD screen in the cab provides helpful maintenance history, attachment presets and monitoring information, including a fuel consumption gauge. It also displays video from the standard rearview and side view cameras, which gives you improved visibility.

Extended maintenance intervals and easy access to service points increase machine uptime and productivity. Examples include centralized grease points, wide side access doors for cleaning the cooling system, boom pivot bushings with extended greasing intervals, and a large-capacity engine air pre-cleaner that removes more than 99% percent of airborne particles and extends filter cartridge service life. To reach current emissions standards, the DX225LL-7 incorporates a high-pressure common-rail fuel delivery system as well as cooled exhaust gas recirculation combined with a diesel oxidation catalyst and selective catalyst reduction. Read about our Tier 4 technologies.
