DEVELON DX300RB-7 Road Builder

Developed specifically for forestry applications, the DX300RB-7 pairs the recognizable power of DEVELON with specialized forestry features. 

With increased tractive force, the DX300RB-7 can travel across uneven or soft terrain and push down trees more efficiently. It features a fully guarded, high-walker undercarriage and upper structure designed to hold up to all-day forestry jobs. Each track includes heavy-duty links with double grouser shoes, rock guards and full-length track guiding guards.

Road builders are available with a standard-height ROPS cab or optional forestry cab that provides an ideal vantage point for pioneering, offering an excellent view of the work and great all-around visibility. 

The road builder cab includes all the comfort features operators need to stay productive and focused on the job. 

The optional side-entry forestry cab features a guarded polycarbonate front window and polycarbonate side and rear windows to protect the operator, and also includes a rear secondary exit.

An intelligently designed cab makes it easy to focus on your work. You’re surrounded by more foot space, better visibility and automatic air conditioning with adjustable airflow. Work comfortably with the standard heated and cooled air-suspension seat and simple controls.

Sightlines are critical for operator performance and job site safety, and DEVELON road builders provide the best possible view from inside the cab.

A standard rotating beacon enhances the road builder’s visibility on busy job sites or when working in low light conditions. Narrow cab pillars provide less obstructed views, while rearview and side cameras, plus an optional around view monitor (AVM) camera system, provide a full view of surroundings. 

The Mechatronics Design provides four work modes, auto idle and machine diagnostics. It includes multiple operating modes and easy-to-read display monitor. To help save valuable diesel fuel, auto shutdown comes standard. When enabled, it will shut down the machine’s engine when the preset idle time is reached. Operators can configure the idle time from 3 to 60 minutes.

A standard color LCD screen provides helpful maintenance history and monitoring information, including a fuel consumption gauge. It also displays video from the standard rearview and side-mounted cameras, which give you improved visibility.

Extended maintenance intervals and easy access to service points increase machine uptime and productivity. Examples include centralized grease points, wide side access doors for cleaning the cooling system, boom pivot bushings with extended greasing intervals, and a large-capacity engine air pre-cleaner that removes more than 99% of airborne particles and extends filter cartridge service life. DEVELON couplers enable you to improve versatility and productivity by utilizing buckets along with a thumb to tackle the full range of pioneering tasks, such as clearing felled trees, removing stumps, rough grading and improving site drainage.

The standard coupler piping ensures that your road builder is attachment-ready and will work with minimal customization.
